C. difficile & FMT Roundtable

C. difficile & FMT Roundtable

with Andrea McBeth, ND, Mark Davis, ND, & Dominik Mertz, MD

Did you know that Clostridium difficile infections afflict more than 500,000 people in the U.S. each year?

We’re waging a battle against antibiotic resistant C. diff. Recent evidence implicates a common food additive in worsening virulence. C difficile can harm otherwise healthy young people and is a major cause of death in patients over 65 years old. If it isn’t on your radar yet, it should be.

Join Mark Davis ND, Dominik Mertz MD, and Andrea McBeth ND, for a panel discussion about all things C.diff. They will discuss the epidemiology, pathogenicity, clinical pearls and application of the exciting technology of Fecal Microbiota Transplant.

Andrea McBeth, ND

Andrea McBeth is a Naturopathic Doctor with a passion for shifting perspectives toward microbiome-centered health. Her scientific background includes a degree in biochemistry from The University of San Diego and research pursuits in various areas of molecular and cellular biology.

After years in cancer research she was called to the path of naturopathic medicine. She graduated from The National University of Natural Medicine in 2017. As a licensed N.D. in Oregon and Washington, she focuses her clinical care on functional gastrointestinal and autoimmune issues. In conjunction with her functional medicine practice, she founded and runs a stool bank that provides Fecal Microbiota Transplant for the treatment of resistant Clostridium difficile infection.
