To vote in the election, you must be a GastroANP naturopathic physician member.
Allied practitioner members, student members, and non-members are not eligible to vote.
Natalie Scheeler, ND, FABNG
I'm eager to join the GastroANP Board of Directors to help advance our field of naturopathic gastroenterology and support the exciting research initiatives on the horizon. I'm passionate about growing our community of gut-loving NDs and creating more opportunities for collaboration, education, and innovation in integrative digestive health. Being part of the board would allow me to contribute meaningfully to the work that's expanding what's possible in naturopathic gastroenterology while connecting with colleagues who share this passion. I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and help move our field forward!
About Dr. Scheeler
Dr. Natalie is a licensed naturopathic doctor and board-certified fellow of naturopathic gastroenterology who specializes in guiding patients through complex digestive conditions using an evidence-led, integrative approach. Her clinical foundation includes a two-year accredited residency and specialized training in advanced therapies like fecal microbiota transplantation, and she treats the whole person through a thoughtful integration of nutrition, lifestyle medicine, botanical and nutritional support, mind-body strategies, and medications when appropriate. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to expand her capacity to address digestive health challenges at both individual and community levels. Her work is driven by a commitment to bridging conventional and naturopathic approaches to gastroenterology, advancing the field through both clinical practice and broader public health initiatives.
Misty Story, ND
I have been on the board and the Educational Committee for some time as GastroANP has held a significant part in my academic and professional life. It offers support and education that I utilized during schooling and rely on now to keep updated in our field. I do believe digestion is a core area of health which every patient could use support. I want to ensure GastroANP thrives and continues to offer connection between docs, students and patients, and offers high quality education to students and doctors ongoing!
About Dr. Story
I am a Naturopathic Doctor licensed in Idaho and Washington. I graduated from National University of Natural Medicine and completed a Naturopathic Gastroenterology and Hormone focused residency at Pearl Natural Health in Portland, Oregon with the late Dr. Gary Weiner and through the mentorship of Dr. Ilana Gurevich. I received advanced training in naturopathic gastroenterology with preceptorships and mentorships with Dr. Allison Siebecker and Dr. Steven Sandberg-Lewis. My areas of expertise include the treatment of SIBO, Celiac Disease, GERD, IBS , IBD, Hashimoto’s, hormone balancing, and the treatment of stress, insomnia, anxiety, and depression. My goal is to assist patients in their health journey through education, encouragement and continued research.
Katie Stage, ND, RH (AHG), FABNG
I am a FABNG who has attended the GastroANP conference for years and is one of the treating physicians in the IBS trial supported by GastroANP. I have found much joy in the knowledge shared and connections make through the GastroANP, and would love the opportunity to give back. I am particularly interested in working to expand membership and proving support for the fellowship program.
About Dr. Stage
Dr. Stage is a Naturopathic Physician, Registered Herbalist, and Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Gastroenterology. She is a professor and maintains a busy practice at the Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly SCNM).
Dr. Stage graduated with high honors from the Sonoran University of Health Sciences and then completed a residency at Sonoran University Medical Center. She serves as Director of the Therapeutics Division and interim Chair of the Physical Medicine and homeopathy departments. She is also a member of the Ric Scalzo Botanical Research Institute.
Robert Brody, ND, MS, FABNG
I am eager to join the GastroANP Board of Directors to help advance excellence and collaboration in naturopathic gastroenterology. As both a clinician and educator, I’m passionate about fostering mentorship, supporting continuing education, and promoting clinical research that strengthens our specialty. I believe GastroANP plays a vital role in uniting our community and elevating the standard of care for patients with complex GI conditions, and I would be honored to contribute to that mission.
About Dr. Brody
Robert W. Brody, ND, MS, FABNG is a naturopathic physician and Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Gastroenterologists. He is the founder of Dr. Robert Brody Personalized Natural Medicine, a multidisciplinary gastroenterology-focused practice in Newtown, CT. Dr. Brody currently serves as President of the Connecticut Naturopathic Physicians Association (CNPA) and as a House of Delegates member for the AANP, where he advocates for the advancement of naturopathic medicine. A former adjunct professor at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine, he has designed and taught multiple courses in gastroenterology and generative medicine. His clinical focus integrates personalized nutrition, microbiome balance, and functional gastroenterology within a whole-person insurance based medical model.
Carolina Arreola, ND
I’m passionate about the mission of the GastroANP and the incredible community it’s built around advancing evidence-based naturopathic gastroenterology. I’d love the opportunity to contribute by helping expand outreach and engagement, especially through education and digital platforms that make complex GI concepts more accessible to both practitioners and the public. Serving on the Board would allow me to support the growth of our profession while continuing to learn from and collaborate with colleagues who share the same dedication to improving digestive health care.
About Dr. Arreola
Dr. Carolina Arreola is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor specializing in gastrointestinal health, with expertise in addressing chronic digestive disorders such as GERD, SIBO, and dysbiosis through evidence-based, root-cause care. She is the founder of Arreola Naturopathic, a telemedicine practice dedicated to helping patients restore gut function and improve quality of life through personalized protocols and functional lab testing. Dr. Arreola is deeply passionate about educating both patients and practitioners, translating complex gastrointestinal concepts into practical, easy-to-understand insights. Her mission is to help more people recognize what naturopathic medicine can offer in advancing digestive health and bridging the gap between holistic and conventional care.
Jennifer Bennett, ND, LAc
I have served on the GastroANP Board of Directors for the last 2 years. I believe that this organization has a great deal to offer in terms of advancing naturopathic education and our profession as a whole. I am proud to have been a part of this organization for the last 2 years and would be honored to continue with it for the next 2 years.
About Dr. Bennett
Dr. Jenny Bennett is a naturopathic doctor, acupuncturist and founder of Aria Integrative Medicine, an autoimmune clinic in Seattle. She received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and Master's of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in 2012. Prior to medical school, she received her BS in Pharmacological Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego and worked at the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine. She is adjunct faculty at Bastyr University where she currently teaches Rheumatology. She currently sits on the board of directors for the GastroANP. She is passionate about educating doctors on how to diagnose and treat rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions.
